Radio DJs are also known as disc jockeys. They work for radio stations and specialize in introducing music. Other responsibilities may include introducing commercials and public information or presenting news, sports, and the weather. Many radio DJs work from a written script that the DJ has researched and written beforehand. Radio DJs may require unusual schedules that include working after normal business hours.

What Educational requirements to Become a Radio DJ Are There?

College courses in broadcasting are valuable for aspiring radio DJs. Courses are available at colleges, technical schools, and private broadcasting schools. These courses enable students to work with emerging broadcasting technologies. Many radio DJs have a bachelor's degree in communications, broadcasting, or journalism. Generally, the following high school or colleges courses are helpful when beginning a career as a radio DJ:
